Student Support Fund
Can you help support a current CREC student through their course by making a small donation?
Embarking on a programme of study is tough at the best of times. This year however, with the impact of cost-of-living and mortgage rate rises, we have seen how financial pressures are already impacting significantly on our student body; only a month in to term we are receiving emails and phone calls from students struggling with cost of childcare, travel and general life expenses and the real implication is that they might need to withdraw from their course.
CREC alumni will be acutely aware of the various pressures current early years practitioners face which makes the achievements of all our students, and the quality of the research that they produce, truly astounding.
This is where we are appealing to our alumni who know what it is like to manage those pressures during your studies and the benefits that come from getting through to the end – the impact it has on your practice, the professional confidence it gives you, the opportunities that it creates.
We’re asking for donations to create a small support fund to help out any struggling CREC student to stay the course and gain their qualification.
We would like to be able to make small contributions which can make a big difference:
the train fare to attend the face-to-face day; the after school club fees to allow time to complete focus groups after hours; the laptop repair cost so that a student can continue to work on their assignment after the children are in bed.
So, if you’ve benefitted from completing a course with us in the past, and you are in a financial position to help a current CREC student, please do consider donating to our student support fund. And why not leave our current students a message of support, or some words of wisdom?
Thank you for your continued support.
