Our own professor Chris Pascal wins lifetime award

CREC's Director Professor Chris Pascal has won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Nursery World Awards 2012.  Chris has had an impressive career so far and although the award recognized the achievements to date, Chris says that she certainly hasn't finished yet.

Chris started her career as an infant teacher in a inner city school after a PGCE at Warwick University. Having paid for her PhD, Chris began linking with international colleagues and set up EECERA - European Early Childhood Education Research Association which is now 22 years old.

Chris' outstanding contribution to services to Early Childhood has been recognised by the Queen in 2001, when Chris was awarded an OBE.

For the past 6 years, Chris has worked within St Thomas Children's Centre and is involved in the delivery of Masters courses.
